Of course, it’s also home to some of the country’s hottest summer temperatures, which makes it the perfect location for world-class water parks. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to more of a "resort experience. From the Hollywood Walk of Fame to the world-famous Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles is home to some of the best landmarks in America. If you live outside of Denver, and Water World is kind of like a "once in a few years experience," I would consider going all out and paying for an upgraded cabana package & tube valet. The food at the buffet was okay however, it was good enough to eat for lunch and again at 5:15 pm before heading out at 6 pm for our 3.5 hour drive home. The cabana was a comfortable "home base." The individual tubes were great and the family tube valet was so worth the additional $50. Considering this may not happen again, we decided, "why not?" Yes, it was expensive, but well worth it! We were able to enjoy early admission. Since we knew it was going to be a hot day, decided to go all out & purchased an all-inclusive cabana package & tube valet. We live up in the mountains and realized that the kids, 13 & 11, had never experienced Water World - shame on us! Had an event in Denver on a Saturday in July and decided to spend the night in order to spend all-day Sunday at Water World. We had a blast and will definitely return. Don't miss the dinosaur ride or Pharaoh if you have kids. Also I recommend trying to go midweek if you are hee for a few days the crowds will be lower. Get there before it opens if you want to rent lockers, cabanas or tube valets because they will run out. There are plenty of choices for kids of all ages and lots of thrills to be had too. The rides however were very well designed for safety. It is an intense one stay shallow if you're arent a great swimmer. As a former lifeguard I was pretty conservative in the main wave pool. You also do not have to haul heavy rubes up the very long hill climbs to rode entrances. It allows you to get a lot more riding in because you get ahead in line. Works for up to four people well worth it. If you have a group or family get one tube valet package. Some unique rides I have never seen anywhere else.
